Dan Simpson's True Tales of Key West
I started this site in the early to mid 90's, and it evolved, or more accurately composted, into a tangled labyrinth that I finally felt compelled to tear down in mid 2006. I'd like to thank the 70,000 + visitors for stopping by my small corner of the web. It began as just a collection of links to technical, humor and music sites... there was little web content and search engines were in their infancy in that antediluvian era, so budding webmasters like me put up links to places that interested us, and often those sites linked back. I also used the site as a soapbox to express my literary urges... this started as an out-of-the-blue writing gig for an e-mail cyberzine called Cyberconch, put out by Key Wester Brooks White. I wrote the entertainment column once every two weeks or so, and this inspired me to write about other subjects and post these gems to my site. Sort of a proto-blog. The Cyberconch columns in particular are a good read to get a feeling of what the Key West music scene was like in the mid 90's, and the True Stories are just that.
